Terms of Use
Last updated: 08/18/2026
By using OPENABLE, you agree to the terms below. We keep everything simple and fair.
1. What OPENABLE is
OPENABLE is a free tool that helps you check and clean photos, documents and links before sending them to others: detecting hidden info (GPS location, author name…), stripping tracking codes from links, and testing whether recipients can open them.
2. Acceptable use
- Only check and clean files and links you have the right to handle.
- Don't use OPENABLE for anything unlawful, or to attack or scan other people's systems.
- Don't intentionally disrupt or overload the service.
3. No absolute guarantee
OPENABLE is an assistive tool, not a guarantee of absolute safety. We try to detect common issues, but can't guarantee finding every piece of hidden info or every compatibility problem.
The final responsibility for sending a file or link is yours. Please double-check the results before sending important or sensitive content.
4. Provided “as-is”
The service is provided “as-is”, without any warranty that it will always work, be error-free, or be fit for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from using or being unable to use OPENABLE.
5. Changes & discontinuation
We may change, suspend or discontinue part or all of the service at any time without notice.
6. Privacy
How we handle data is described in the Privacy Policy. The key point: your files are processed on your device, not uploaded.
7. Contact
